GT3, R8, or 570S

Really depends on how you plan to use the car. If it's going to be driven daily then the R8 would be my first choice. Very civilized, easy to use, killer technology, reliable, dealer's everywhere with quick turnaround, comfortable for long cruises and fun for the occasional track day. Arguably the best sounding of the three.
If the car will tracked a fair amount and/or driven hard in canyons then I think the GT3 gets my vote. It's the most rewarding/fulfilling and nothing takes a flogging and keeps performing as well as a GT3.
The 570S is an interesting new addition to the mix. They are remarkably civil to use but the doors, lack of interior storage and a spotty dealer network make them hard to use or rely on for DD. Killer performance and easily the most exotic looking of the group. It's a turbo which means some lag and certainly the least inspiring sound of the three.

Never driven a gt3 but on a list ...don't know if I will get one .
but I have a driven 997 Gt3 and real like the rawness.
I do own A 2011 r8 spyder v10 manual...very comfy car ....nice exaust .
I like the simpleness of Audi.
Mcalren 570 I driven for about a hour and I didnt like it.
Turbo lag.
675 LT would be. Different story . But a lot $$$$

The GT3 and 570S are way more fun to drive than the Audi R8. I think it’s the AWD and weight of the Audi that I don’t like. I’ve tried really hard to like that car. I’ve owned a Huracan which I guess is like the Audi, but it also was boring to drive after a while.

Audi R8 - for me the first gen looked much better visually than the new/current gen, and Audis in general just never appealed to me...
570S - looks way more intense/stunning in person than it photographs. Same with the nearly identical 570GT. A bit scared with the McLaren electronics/build quality reports from owners, but I love that McLaren is getting into sports cars and bet they will get it right over time. The turbo V8 engine seems to be great from watching Chris Harris's video review.
So would go with 570S hands down over the R8 for me.....but..... at the end of the day neither are a 911, so I would and am going with GT3
The only non-911 I have any interest in owning (as of right now) would be a 458 Italia.

For those who have owned and driven them - which would you select - 991.2 GT3, Audi R8 V10+, or McLaren 570S?
Another way to think of it:
- would you trade your GT3 for an R8V10+?
- would you trade your R8 for a GT3?
- would you trade your GT3 for a 570S?
- would you trade your 570S for a GT3?
All are similar in price, performance and practicality. Two will get way more attention than the GT3. One is a turbo, the others are some of the last N/A engines.
Just wondering what those who have actually owned the cars think.

As a daily, or only, car? GT3

570S
GT3
R8
Never owned the new R8 - driven it for about 5 hours but just feels heavy and pretty underwhelming. I would go 812 if I wanted a V10/V12. Wait on one for a Ferrari nobody, like me, is about 2 years.

570S looks like a true exotic compared to the other two and be prepared for lots of attention albeit positive attention, someone mentioned turbo lag ? nah the motor is the most linear turbo delivery I have ever driven the throttle response is amazing and the rear end can be placed exactly where you want it. Compared to these other two steel moncoque cars the 570 is from the future, it rides well is quiet when you want it to be and manic or manic+++ depending on how you are feeling.
The 570S is much faster than the GT3, way out of the GT3's league in acceleration performance, its faster than the Turbo S FFS !!.
The 570S doesn't really have any competitors at the moment (in its price point) IMO.
Did I mention it is fast ?

I’ve driven all of them. The 570 is a great car but me personally would pick a 991turbo S or the R8 over it.
The gt3 is the only option if you track every now and then. If you don’t track I would go for the R8.

570 wins for steering feel and chassis feel thanks to the hydraulic rack and CF tub. R8 engine in the 570 chassis with the GT3 manual would be an awesome frankencar....

2. Maybe
3. No
4. Probably
Currently I have a .1 GT3 that I recently traded my McLaren 12C for. I haven't missed the McLaren once since the trade and love the visceral engaging experience of the GT3. I've driven the 570 on a couple different spirited test drives, and while improved in terms of material quality, ride quality, and looks, it drove similarly to the 12C overall. My dad owned the first gen gated manual R8 V10 which I drove extensively. The R8 is an amazing car, incredibly fast, great sound once you put an exhaust on the V10, handles great, and gets a ton of positive attention. If I owned an R8, I don't know that I would switch to the GT3, but if I owned a GT3, I for sure would not swap out to the R8. I don't have anything negative to say about the R8.
Regarding the McLaren, do you live near a dealer? Are you prepared for $5k annual warranty renewals once the factory warranty expires? Are you prepared for ~$2000 annual services? Do not own a McLaren out of warranty. Look at the Carfax and you can see how often these cars visit the dealer (yes, even the new 570S, look at the carfax records and you'll see dealer visits every few months). If you get in accident are you prepared to wait months for parts? What is your patience level with waiting on parts for service and repair? What is your comfort level with an obscene amount of attention?
If my McLaren had been perfect and didn't have any issues, I'd still take a GT3 all day long over the McLaren. Factoring in service issues, warranty renewal costs, reliability, and attention, the choice is easy.

Three Wheelin'
GT3 or 570s. If I wanted an automatic car I would probably get a used 570s in the 180's. If you want a manual then get the GT3. If you track a lot or plan to then get the GT3. R8's are boring looking and driving cars, the only thing the R8 has going for it is the exhaust note. I can't stand Audi understeer.

speed is only a small part of the equation in my book
overall emotional connection to the car is what is most important
I feel R8 has much more emotional connection as compared to 570 S , and this is why I skipped the 570 S fot the R8 . I had similar feeling for 650 S
if speed is only factor then Turbo S will be selling above list and we all be talking about them all the time and which dealer have allocations

A friend currently has the best of both worlds.... a manual GT3.2 and he recently traded-in his R8 (manual V8) for the new 570S..
He also told me that if he had to choose just one then it's the GT3 w/o a doubt since it's still one of the best cars to drive...
He did say "the McLaren has the rock star looks and killer acceleration but the GT3 is perfect".
