Angry 991.1 GT3 Shark Werks.... GT3.2 tips/ bumper don't align to .1 GT3 bypass.

I kept my .1 GT3 SW bypass to put on my recently arrived .2. Loved the sound and everything I'd read thus far and seen on the SW site, indicated same fitment and product order number etc.

However...yes the fitment is perfect, but the stock .2 tips sit very differently on the .1 bypass and rear bumper trim height. They're about 1.25 inches lower...See pics. Not a good neat look...
I called SW and they were helpfully aware of this. One suggested partial solution was their 100mm tips, but they also indicated they don't fully align and fill the void like on a .1 bumper or stock .2.

Just a heads-up of folks! Your .1.bypass will fit the .2 but the stock .2 tips will not align. Curious to know if anyone has also found this to be the case or if it actually worked for them (and therefore I'm a tool and need to atop spannering)...
I am assuming SW are making a slight adjustment to new production and distinguishing between .1 and .2 models, but I'm unclear as their site still only shows 1 product for .1 and .2.

I was curious to try GMG anyway and have ordered with them as they verbally stated they made a alignment change recognizing the .2 is different. Awaiting delivery and will report back.

Cheers, Mark

(My SW .1 is coming up for sale soon if anyone with a GT3.1 wants one. I still thoroughly recommend this mod).

.2 tips are way off...

not a sexy ***...

Fits great to the side mufflers etc...

I assume the .2 SW will address this issue, if it hasn't already?

This was known by sharkwerks and that is why they updated them for the MKII way back in the beginning of MKII production. You should of checked before installing with Sharkwerks or the forum.

Trust me, I searched here and couldn't find anything explicit and checked at least the sw site which still shows as if it's one product for both the .1 and .2.

At least I'm an expert at installing them now

I tried to send you a private message about something unrelated, but may not have sent it correctly.

hey mate indeed some of the older .1 versions will sit a bit lower but can be adjusted through the side mufflers - which isn’t ideal. This is why we made a different version and jig for the .2 GT3. Let me know if we can help

you betchya all 991.2’s get a different version however if you want to carry over the older version although not ideal you can do so with some tinkering and adjustment through the side mufflers too. Anyone who bought a gen1 a couple of years ago etc...we’ve been offering a discount to upgrade to a gen2 for their new car anyways

Excellent! And I have posted a DIY install for the 991.2 By-pass here (see below link), the 991.2 Sharkwerks exhaust fit and finish is second to none.
