You probably won't have a modern sports car in your garage then.

Like I said, Porsche will make them awesome and we'll all love them.

Don't sound good, lol, listen to that thing after the anti-lag launch.

The older models still have more feel than where the new ones will go, that's my only concern. I LOVED how a 996 gt2 sounded with 200 cell cats and muffler bypass pipes...completely angry. The 997 like above needed some work to sound like that though haha.

You know how it took like 40 years of 911 evolution to get to the 997, nearly 30 years to add water? Now we're on gen 4 (911, gt3, rs, 991.2...) or whatever of EPS and it's getting better.
Porsche will get it right.

I've 3 generations of Porsches in the garage, will add a 4th and probably a 5th soon enough. Feel vs. better vs. whatever all so subjective. I will admit my favorite is the 997GT, and the GT4 I kept 3 months, and 991GT/RS didn't do it for me, but RS very good. So you kind of have to have one of each for the mood for the sensation. And, if it doesn't make you excited to drive it, sell it, try the next.

Porsche already does. It's called the 911 Turbo S

Yup, my wallet can't wait for that day...then I can really focus on trying to save enough pennies to get a CGT.

I have a GT3 scheduled for a June 2018 build, so not sure the info you have presented here is entirely true...... ??

Completely agree regarding the Speciale. The car is really something special, a long-term keeper. For my tastes, I don't think there will ever be anything better.

There re are a few cars that make me "tingle"- Speciale, CGT, Singer, New Performante.

In my dreams I hit the Lottery and buy/order all of these

Another magazine claiming the end of natural aspirated engines.

http://www.automobilemag.com/news/porsches-reinvention/

Sadly, the 992 GT3 is expected to lose its intoxicating naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine in favor of a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat six. The good news? It will reportedly be rated at 550 hp.

Glad to have my NA GT3 on the way but the new turbo will be an absolute beast. I have a .2 GTS and it is strong as battery acid.

Jesus... Just hang some marshmallows off the wing for a nice treat at the end of the drive.

The Performante is a great car and I don't know why it is so easy to get at or below msrp. Really surprised.

Speciale is a true beauty. I drove a 458 for a while and loved it... it calls my name sometimes. In the next recession I might try and grab one.

CGT is incredible. Maintenance is brutal I think though compared to the others. I know many don't care but I want to drive the crap out of my cars and big servicing bills hurt my enjoyment. Still my dream car.

1. 991.2 GT3
2. 458 Speciale
3. CGT
4. Mint condition 356
5. Singer

All cars I would own before getting a turbo car. At a certain point speed becomes useless for me and I just want to have fun. I would enjoy a 996 GT3 more than a new 991.2 Turbo.

I’d happily take a GT2RS over a GT3, but the 2RS would need a manual trans. If we are forced (haha pun) into turbos, there had better be mega HP.

The last of anything that was highly in demand is usually a good thing regardless of new next best thing. Time will tell.

The main reason why I'm hoping this is not the case is the hyper focus that will be put on the 991.2 GT3 values/resale etc for a long time if it's the last NA GT3....Just want to drive and enjoy my car worry-free and let the frenzy move on to the 992 GT3.

Maybe if the 992 GT3 has a *lightweight* electric motor + turbo charged flat 6 with high redline and increased power that could be attractive and make people forget that "it's just not NA".... actually just saying that I'd be interested lol

Option 1: heavy hybrid system or just turbo/boosted flat 6 with reduced redline - yikes

Option 2: light, tiny electric motor + small turbo flat 6 with high redline - cool. Basically hoping for a mini F1 engine, I'd be interested!!!
