Your 2019 owner’s manual indicates a 1000 mile break in? That would be very interesting if it did.
Can you share a screen shot of your owner’s manual?
All 2018 manuals show a 2000 mile break in beriod but few follow the manual’s instructions.

2000 miles is for the GT2RS. 1000 miles and 7k rpm is for GT3/RS.

Default My Unique Owner's Manual with one-off break in language (2018-991.2).

So strange, Your owner's manual shows GT3 break in period of 1000 miles and 7000 RPM
I guess I have a unique owner's manual. Mine (2018 - 991.2) clearly says 2000 miles (3000 Km's) and 4000 RPM. For those who want to see this unicorn owner's manual, I've included it with this post.

I think I read somewhere that 2018 GT3, break-in was 2000 miles, but for 2019 GT3 break-in changed to 1000 miles...

The 2000 number is for the GT2RS, looks like Porsche put out incorrect generic manuals. I sent PCNA a note and it was like talking to a rock, and of course consult your dealer who didn’t produce the manual. There’s no way to drive the 3RS at 4K RPM for 2000 miles that’s less than 50% of the range. Any whoo two full tanks of gas has always been my break-in and drive.

Funny thing is, I obsessed over exterior color choice when speccing mine. After driving for 5 minutes I realized it couldn't matter less! Such a great feeling to drive this thing and I haven't even been past 5k rpm

If that's from a 2019 manual, it would be interesting to see what else is different between 2018 and 2019's manuals.

Boy you really have to be careful with the GT2 RS huh!
Something tells me tho, that more than half of the owners do not comply strictly
Wonder what might be then the consequences of not doing so...

It is near impossible to keep a GT3 under 4000rpm. Trust me, I tried for 1000 miles and I know I got over 4000 a few times. You are constantly shifting up. From 1000-1500 I have allowed myself 5000. At 2000 miles I will go higher.

‘don’t follow the manual is 7k not to exceed. 4K is the gt2rs. Call your dealer if concerned ....

The engines are bench tested at the factory. Go drive!

Driving below 4k in the 4.0 is like being “just friends” with a dime piece.
