Allocations come from Porsche not dealers. AFAIK the Speedster is not in the Porsche AG model number system that allocations begin with.

Is that different to how it normally works? And how do I get Porsche to grant me one?

Unless you're a 918 vip- the allocation is awarded to dealers.

Of course. Point was that dealers cannot assign allocations that Porsche hasn’t yet established.

Clarification, I have a promise that I will get my dealers first allocation, something I negotiated 20 months ago on a hunch Porsche would release another Speedster at the end of 991.2 production. They have never lied to me before so I am counting on getting one. Hope I am not disappointed!

My dealer says 2019 ordering likely in May/June time frame and deliveries starting in late summer early fall. I hope these dates move up 3-4 months.

I heard your dealer is not getting a Speedster allocation.

if I had to guess I’d say allocations will happen in early
2019. Lock dates in February/March, March/April production, May/June delivery.

I'd say you're on the money. My prediction Geneva Car Show spec/config sheet should be up and about. Production in 2Q19 and delivery in late 2Q19/3Q19 onwards.

Drive safe,

Yawn. Just another who cares model. Porsche new product releases are becoming irrelevant.

Just curious, if your dealer called you with a spot, at sticker, you think you would sing the same tune?

Let you know when they do, but I wouldn’t hold your breath. It could be hazardous to your health.
