Back in the 80s and 90s, Exclusive will build you anything you want.

Nowadays, not so much.

I had asked them to build me a Turbo/Turbo S Targa. They told me to go buy the 991.2 Targa instead!

What's so hard about sticking a turbo engine and a wide body frame on a Targa? haha

I am so excited for this car and am truly hoping they do something special including aesthetics for it.

My wish list:
- a wide body with special features other than the roof and bubble
- a retro special interior
- fuch wheels
- SMFW
- titanium exhaust that sings

Seems like narrow body, and won't be a SMFW unless there's a U-turn on compatibility with latest engine.

The gold Turbo S Exclusive series in a Targa might have been the perfect street car. I would have paid waaay too much for that.

They will be making Turbo S "Exclusive Series" cabriolet produced and it is limited and numbered.

I only get my name on the list for the unlimited and unnumbered, fortunately I also prefer non-vintage champagne.

I think AP comments at 991.2 GT3 launch about why they didn't do SMFW for the 991.2 GT3 - "not necessary", "new engine revs so fast anyway", "won't fit", "not compatible", etc. - indicate that they will develop a lightweight flywheel for a more special version of the car.

Recall in the 997 generation that the GT3 was never offered with SMFW, only the RS.

The 991.2 Targa 4 GTS is pretty capable already. Did you end up getting one?

Some new spy shots and speculation that the windshield has a more aggressive rake. They expect 1948 units, a high price, and a release in June https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/spy-sh...-specs-prices/

Thank you for posting! I am really puzzled by this. If each of these parts is significantly different, that is a huge amount of effort and expense to achieve 20hp and 7 ft-lbs. I hope someone can explain what is different about these parts??

The part numbers, of course. It’s an easy but thorough way to justify the performance, prestige and price differences...

Reminds me of the my old Acura Integra Type R from 1998 and all the changes the factory made to the GSR to get another 20 hp. It was a significant list as I recall. That was only a 1.8 L engine. They should be able to get more than 20hp with all these part differences on a 4.0 L engine.
