Very few if any cars produced today that are MT, convertible and have over 500hp. Time to embrace technology or buy an old smelly car and tell yourself how much you enjoy. I suspect 75% of driving time is in traffic. Every few seconds; left pedal in, right hand gear change, right foot throttle and then right foot brake. The the same thing over and over again. That's fun?

C’mon, Nick...no need to turn this thread into yet another manual vs PDK debate.

What non-convertible Porsche people may not understand is that in a convertible the sound from the engine is RIGHT THERE. It is a very different experience driving a convertible as opposed to a coupe. The sound, the wind (which is prodigious at speed), and the sunlight. I very much prefer convertibles even if you are giving up a bit with more weight, less rigidity and more stuff to break.
Anyway, I suppose I should drop off some more breakfast sandwiches at my dealer tomorrow.

For some enjoyment driving, with a cabriolet or not, means no comfort at all as longs as it means driving a 500hp machine with all your senses (isn't this the GT3 idea?), for the rest is the MB E series cabriolet I mentioned before.
PDK is faster, more comfortable and much better to drive and text if you want... who wants that over having control yourself and feel everything that's happening with the car.
I don't have a race car because a I don't like competitive driving
I don't have an RS because lap times for me are just a secondary part of the experience
Yes I would love a roofless GT3 to enjoy driving through mountain roads or even on my way to the track to have some fun.

Absolutely! Had an 89 Speedster. What a blast! The sound, the smell, the wind, the blue skies, the sun, etc. I guess I am fortunate enough to live at a place that has all that all year round. If not, I probably wouldn't love convertibles as much. Even night driving is a special event.
