This is what my dealership said in response to my queries:

"1948 worldwide to be exact with about 500 coming to the USA. We should be getting maybe 4 or 5.
This car is demanding a massive premium of $150,000 over MSRP.
We think that the MSRP will be in the range of 200-250k."

Whatever do you mean? You get admission to the GT3 club, an exclusive Porsche club only available to more owners than that of any other production Porsche model, and a club which celebrates a car offering true driving emotion but which is simultaneously so uncomfortable to drive for more than 1 hour that 1/4 of the cars go up for sale before they have 5000 miles.

I'd say admission to that club is worth ADM!

991 speedster is running awfully late out of its production cycle. There is customers in Germany with 992 S cabriolets already. The 4.0 N.A will still be very exciting but man there has to be some reason for the delay here.

My guess is emissions certification with the Exclusive power kit. Too much dirty power.

If that is the "selling price" then, ADM is about EU100K average. Now if that price EU375K is the ADM, then that is an outstanding "Highway Robbery."

Looks like we can put CATPAT down for 2 Speedsters :O JK
But I do wonder if anyone in the US will want or be able to score two Speedsters in the run? Collectors collect in multiples. I already want 2 LOL. I would like a heritage edition with all the bells and whistles plus I would want a Red one to show off the curves. Looking forward to pictures here if we're lucky and the buyers are sharers.

I was told in the UK MSRP would be around £250k. I sure hope you are right as that’s sounds much more reasonable.

GPF and it’s impact on performance I suspect.

Hey if I thought I could score a Speedster at or close to MSRP, I would definitely do so. I do think the GT3 somehow ended up as the tulip mania of 2018/19 but that doesn't mean they aren't tons of fun to drive
