So if you want that type data you need that little guy. In the grand scheme of things its not going to slow you down for anything anyone
here does. Most all cars have them now and I think for a multi use antenna its nice looking. Look at a modern fighter jet-its covered with
antennas and some arent very stealthy
My understanding is that the GPS antenna is under the front bodywork and there is no wart for it...

We should be able to have base/Bose/Burmester stereo with Nav and rear camera and still not have the wart, as long as we don't want Satellite radio (which we can't delete without deleting all the rest and soon won't even have that option)
I agree 100%... I can't believe that Andreas Preuninger allows to have a hole drilled into the roof of a GT3. I did have a sat radio on 2013 C2S but never used it since I was denied a free 3 month trial. Hence I will never subscribe to SiriusXM.

This is correct. The GPS antenna is up front. Here's the PET diagram for the 991.1, which is basically the same as the 991.2.

GPS is #8 and the sat rad wart is #6. My car is a Feb build, I still want the wart deleted.

I though all 991.2 models, Carreras, GT3s, etc, now automatically come with Porsche Connect, for traffic, news, find my car, etc, also WiFi.

Is the wart needed for that?

No, the wart isn't needed for that. LTE antenna is up in front, like the GPS antenna. Look at the ROW cars, no wart and they have the same infotainment system. Just no sat radio. In NA we are just so special we get the F%&$ing wart.

thanks, So the wart is only for satellite radio radio then?

my car will be a MY 2019, so complete radio delete is not an option. I could care less about satellite radio.

I gotta find a way to delete the wart via Exclusive or something else. I would seriously pay thousands to delete the wart.

I asked and was told no, but that was some time ago. If you find a way please post!!! The only other way I know is after you get the car to have the antenna pulled, hole filled and roof painted, which is extreme.

Here's the PET from the 991.2, shows the GPS antenna up front and the antenna in the back is just the sat radio.

A body colored plug would be almost unnoticeable. No need to fill and repaint the whole roof.

I have had my car for almost 2 weeks and you soon forget the wart is there. It starts to just blend in. And I was much hesitant in the beginning because I do not want the wart nor do I care for satellite rdio
