Default Rear scoop removal

For thos interested in painting, wrapping or getting a good PPF, know that removal of the scoops takes 10 minutes using a torx 25. Easy day.

So... someone is FOR SURE going to make these out of beautifully laid and polished carbon fibre and charge a ridiculous amount of money for them right?

Great pics. Most impressive is the neatly overlapping microfiber safety net!

Yeah, that screams opportunity to the aftermarket folks...

And this was Porsche's plan all along, not sure why they wouldn't offer it as option

I think most will have them painted body color. I think they will look best this avenue

Probably CF composite. Sprayed rather than laid in sheets, right?

I'm assuming there's zero chance they can be sanded, cleared, and polished to look nice.

Not sure... I'll get a pic of the underside later today.

I'd probably just wrap them in 3M 1080 CF Wrap.

May be a stupid question but, why were these scoops needed if they're not on the Touring? Is it that the air would be diverted by the wing if not for the scoops? I can't imagine these were put there for aesthetics reasons.

I have always hated CF wrap, but could really understand someone who would like to have those rear scoops painted as the exterior of the car.

Judging by the expected airflow over the top of the car and under the wing, and the duct that leads right into the intake, I'm sure there is some value with respect to forced induction. Aesthetically pleasing as well.

Easy to paint if needed.
