Default PORSCHE Car Connect

Dealer got all my info on delivery day, took my phone, and said all done. Several days later, my Car Connect app on my phone can still only refresh and see just the GTS. When I use my computer to go to the portal, my GT3 is there. Any advice?

Thanks.

Have you tried deleting the app and re-installing it? If you have an iPhone, delete from your phone and iTunes, restart the phone and then re-install. I gave up on the car connect app because it was horribly buggy and slow. I could never consistently a pair of cars at the same time.

Dealer just said they didn’t get it done even when they thought they did, so I have to go back

TO activate car connect it needs to be physically activated via service department

This is the only specific thread I could find on Car Connect. I see there are monthly/annual fees applicable. Any feedback on if it’s worth it? Thanks.

After multiple failed attempts to get the app and the car to sync up, I ended up deleting it. I also read the numerous 1 star reviews on the App Store where the consensus was that the app is useless. Sorry I couldn’t be much help, maybe other people have had better luck with it.

I didn't know there was a fee to use car connect, have it from day 1 and I've used it regularly like setting a geofence and sometimes paranoid to make sure the car is locked without walking back to the car after parking.

Also you can swap the SIM card in the car, so not sure if the fee is just for the network or the app. Will find out in a few months.

To my knowledge Porsche have discontinued Connect and replaced it with a new App. Can’t remember the new name just now but it might be called my car or similar.

The app hasn't been discontinued. They just updated it a couple days ago. The new app is called connect, rather then car connect. But the new connect app only supports the new panny and II assume it will be for anything going forward (like the 992)

You can get a year free with the car, then after that you need to buy a subscription.

Thanks all - I got a note from the PEC yesterday asking me to do a few things to make my "experience" better and one was to get the Porsche Car Connect app via a "vodafonetemetatics" link but it seemed you required a fee to join? Well we'll find out next week what the deal is!!
