How are the touring package stats coming? GT3 and I have a friendly debate about how unusual a GT3 PTS touring will be. I am think not that rare, he says not many in the US.

Mine is the only PTS Touring, out of a total of 3-4 Tourings sold. For more context, I believe my dealership sold 3-4 911Rs.

Ok friends, after getting tired of having unclear answers and estimates regarding 2019 NA GT3RS production I decided to build a complete database over the past few weeks. I was surprised at some of the results. I currently have 857 verified built and completed units of NA GT3RS from VIN “4060” - “5078”.
here are a couple of cool facts.
Of the 857 verified, 83 are for Canada and 774 for the USA
The rarest configuration is Lava Orange Non WP with only 1 built so far, next would be Racing Yellow with 5 Non WP built for the US so far. Then 21 Guards Red Non WP and 23 Miami Blue Non WP.
808 WP accounted for over half of the NA builds as of 11/14/18.

I don’t have a database on the base GT3 but I believe Pors9 and CamsPorsche do.
The most recent production I’ve seen was ~3k 991.2 base GT3 already built for NA. If I had to guess, ~30% are touring.
a combination of PCNA, PCL, NHTSA, CarFax and AutoCheck.
ill update again at the end of the month and year.

I don’t see 991.2 GT3s on Pors9’s site.
Certainly not a statistically valid sample, but sales at my dealership suggest that Tourings are on par with the # of 911Rs produced.

Hopefully Cam, Loess and Por9 will chime in.
I am working on my North American (really US but I have found some Canadian so why not) PTS touring “registry” which is very much a half-**sed amateur attempt so if I knew what my target was I could see how much of the total I have found (on RL, Porsche dealers for sale, social media etc.).

FWIW, 27% of the cars on my PTS list are Touring- in line with estimates that 30% of GT3's are touring, so the PTS models are about the same ratio to PTS Winged GT3's- or roughly 9-11% of total production are PTS. Doing the math, with an estimated final number of around 2500 GT3's, 30% are touring or 750, so approximately 75 are PTS if 10% are so built. So pretty rare.

Assuming your and GT3’s estimate is about right, putting all the sources of information together, we could get well over 50% identified (which is partly why I think the estimate is low and it’s more like 150 PTS tourings in North America when all is said and done).
So that is why I am hoping the guys with the numbers post them up. I know Cam mentioned a Report was forthcoming.
I figured PTS Touring were easier than trying to do an updated NAS Defender 110 registry (and a lot more colorful being that they were all white with maybe one or two painted black at delivery and a few repainted over the years) as another insomnia project.

Thanks Andre. I have 29 US spec cars (and one Canadian one) where I have a picture of the car, the color, and some information from Instagram. I know there are some more only on RL and a couple dealer cars I have stuff on but not yet on my registry so all in let’s say three dozen at this point. That obviously does not include cars not delivered yet (like mine which got bumped back a couple weeks, but is finally out of production). THE list (aka your check in PTS list ) has about 38 US PTS tourings, three Canadian, and eight Europe. Obviously there is a significant overlap between what I have compiled and your list. I willl be sure to send you all I have for your list when I am done (which won’t be until production and delivery of all GT3 are complete).
