Limiter is electronic, over revs are usually forced on bad/missed downshifts which are mechanical. The limiter would stop you from going over the limit say free revving the car out of gear, but it can't stop it from over revving should you jam it into second instead of fourth at 120mph

Right. There's nothing different about the GT3 that would magically prevent a mechanical over-rev.

Easy fix - downshift thru the gears rather than jumping.

I see many LSD, clutches and overrevs in manual owners’ future and eventually gearbox rebuild. No different then the 997’s except now 9000RPM, more HP, more grip, more weight.
Maybe an engine rebuild if you stick it in the wrong gear.

starting with range3 --> the approved warranty extension possibility is gone here in EU.
if you want it again. you need following 200 operating hours without an issue. or you have to pressure test...
