Miami Blue, The reality

Of course, you realize that picture itself is by definition distorted as it's a picture of a picture of a picture, right?
And you're viewing the image on a computer (or iPad or cell phone) through eyes that may have the beginnings of a cataract...just sayin'

Picture in post #25 is a good representation of MB under bright sun light. Beautiful. I was all set to order this color. But on the day of I comming in to spec my .2 allocation., it was a cloudy, over cast day and the MB 911 outside of the showroom just totally changed. I now will have a RY coming next spring.

I ordered the same car as yours and I agree with you the black wheels and black accents it make the color pop. I had a white one just too many whites GT3's on the track. Mine is due at the dealer on Oct 13 . How about yours

a buddy and I are looking at an Ultima Evo build. What struck me when looking at their website, was how great their color renders were on their configurator.
Consider that this is a kitcar company.. and their color renders completely blow porsche's away... not to mention that their color palette is fantastic.
I don't get it...

Refreshing an old thread in case it might be helpful to other folks looking at MB. I'm not trying to be disagreeable, but in a sense, there's no such thing as a "true" color. It's always a combination of the paint color and the color (or temperature) of the light falling on it. If you look at the OP's photo, you'll see that the wall in the main photo isn't true white; it has a slight yellow or cream tint to it. Likewise, the white wall in the tablet image has a slight blueish cast (in addition to being underexposed). Because MB is a blue-green, the yellowish light pulls out some of the yellow in the green, shifting the apparent color toward turquoise. The blueish cast of the tablet light brings out the blue at the expense of the green. That's what accounts for the difference in how our eyes are seeing MB in the two images.
Anyway, as others have mentioned, the best way to deal with this is to see the color in person if possible.

It’s not just the blue they screwed up.
we had perfect colors in the past, not sure why we’re getting faded out yellow, brown/orange, highlighter green and turquoise blue.
Its not that people all hate the new colors, but you can’t help wishing that Chalk was a proper grey, like the Audi’s, Miami should be Riveriera or Mexico, lava should be like pumpkins and Lizard should be RS Green.
At least they managed not to rape the Guard Red yet.

If you like Riviera and you like mint green, I think of Miami as a cross between the two. Looks great to me!

Riviera and Miami are very very close under some lighting.
riviera left, Miami right. Another view:
I own the Miami, but I will admit it here that Riviera, while less “dynamic”, is my preference. I will never admit it to the fine gentleman who owns the car on the left, however. 😄
