Unhappy I messed up and experienced a GT3

So excuse my ramblings but HELLO!
I made the mistake of driving a 991.1 GT3. Oh my goodness. So raw, so direct and so precise. I fell in love. It is really an amazing machine.
So I decided to do something CRAZY and order a 991.2 GT3 in GR. Kind of a stripper car since I didn't see much need for a lot of the interior options.
Anyways I am looking at april delivery so I look forward to joining the discussions! I'm in NYC.

Am I under the impression you recently drove a .1 gt3 then proceeded to a dealer and received an allocation that quick? If so, WOW and a big congrats.

That's mostly correct. About a week between the two. I made a lot of phone calls and was not opposed to expensive single malt gifts. Worked out and I'm glad it did!

I'm working with Porsche south shore! Had an amazing experience there. Actually treated me like a human.

Count me in as i am in Ft. Lee. Could be kind of fun getting 5-6 GT cars together.

I’d be in for a NYC get together.

I am there all the time and plan to drive the GT3 there once I get it. Driving a sports car around manhatten really heightens the senses.

A NYC area cruise would be SO damn cool.
As long as we can conclude with a nice rare single malt, just one since we are being responsible! I have an apartment by the water in LIC that would make for a hell of a photo op!
I have to admit this April wait is gonna be brutal.
I forgot to mention I was between this and an AMG GTR. Both engines are masterpieces in my opinion but couldn't get over the feel of the GT3.

Congrats on your pending arrival!

also from the NYC area. Have had 3 previous GT3's as DD's in the wilds of NYC and its not as bad as one would assume. You'll get used to dodging potholes during the day and using total recall to avoid them at night.

A nice break in rip up the pallisades or taconic will be in order

The day I experienced a 991 GT3 for the first time was the day my thoughts on what I wanted out of a road car (and my preconceived opinions on dual clutch transmissions) changed forever, seriously. I had driven many faster and more "exotic" cars up to that point but something about that car was just so exciting on ALL fronts. The sound, the gearbox, the feel, it was wonderful! Unfortunately it has also ruined so many other cars for me

Congratulations and I hope the wait isn't too agonizing.

Best,
