I would not get that option. I would rather have brushed aluminum anthracite trim (also free). I had to pay for this in my 991.1 gt3. On a low option car I would also get full leather, wheels in platinum, and PDLS.

I kind of like that bc if you get aluminum w standard leather interior it stops as doors and looks choppy... Always bothered me on my last gt3 that had standard leather. Open to opinions....

If you go with standard leather, no trim continues to the doors... Correct?

There’s no standard leather interior. There’s the standard plastic and a full leather option. The non leather/plastic dash does not have the strips on the doors. Adding the full leather gets the leather on the front of the dash and tops of the doors with the extra strips. Plus leather on the rear side panels.

I like the aluminum. It does dent easily so be careful there. And if you trailer the car and drive the car in and out you also need to be careful. Wrapping a thick towel around the door edge to protect it from trailer inside has a slight caution. If it gets caught on the trim edge it will pull it off slightly and bend the trim. Because it is anodized it will "flash" slightly at the bend area. I managed to tweak and get the flash out and stuck the trim back with 3m double stick tape film. Not an easy task either. Because the aluminum trim still had a curl it eventually popped loose again. I may need to pin the end and cover the hole with chewing gum.

I took the option on my Agate Gray '17 Turbo S. Love it. I would have done it for my '15 Sapphire Blue GT3, too, but was unaware of it at the time.

I like it with the standard interior and have it on my build.

My only concern is the touring package says the aluminium extends to the door trim which I suspect is just wrong for the standard interior.

Of course, if available, I'd have mahogany wood. Will probably try to figure out how to retrofit a mahogany multifunction heated wheel once it gets here.

I love it on a non-GT3 car but for the GT3, it looks misplaced, because it is kind of a "luxury" look. I agree carbon fiber or anthracite aluminum may look better. I have mine spec'd with anthracite aluminum. But if you just hate that look of the silver trim, go for it.

I have this option on my build. I like the inside muted, and find the aluminum trim garish.

I locked yesterday and did this option on my standard interior. Don't like thr carbon or aluminum that doesn't continue through the door panels hopefully the mono scheme looks good.
