This is so why I will never buy another new Porsche from a California dealer.

As much as I want another GT3, I am so over the games Porsche and Porsche dealers have been playing with GT cars.

A few years back, I wanted an RS5 (I know not Porsche, but the local dealer is owned by the same group). Even though I had purchased two Q7s in the past 12 months from them, they would not give me an allocation for the RS5 unless I paid a big premium (I forget the amount). Needless to say, I purchased the car about 1000 miles away.

Then, I purchased a Panamera Turbo S from the local dealer. About a month later, I wanted to order a GT3, and they would not confirm me an allocation at any price. So I went to the next state over and had no issues. When I took delivery of the 2014 GT3, they confirmed I was first on the list for the GT3RS. Then, about 9 months later, I traded my GT3 into them with the understanding, I was still first on the list for the GT3RS. When I heard allocations were being released, I called the dealer and my SA had left the dealer. When I called the sales manager, he told me I was not on the list. I was mad, to say the least.

Then a few months later, my SA returned to the same dealer and called me and offered me a GT3RS at $30k over. Absolutely not...

More recently, the same out of state dealer offered me a GT3.2 at MSRP, if I also purchased a new Panamera Turbo S Hybrid. I built the cars, but couldn't bring myself to send him the orders. I am still butt sower about the GT3RS. I doubt I will ever be able to bring myself back to that dealer.

If I can find a dealer at MSRP for a GT3.2 with no strings attached, I am in. Otherwise, I will wait. Any dealer will sell me a Panamera; no reason to travel out of state for it.

At $25k over, you are getting into the territory of a nice pre-owned 458 or a new 570S among others.

Yeah, but they aren't the new GT3.2 458 is a great car, 570 S seems great, but then you enter into the world of McLaren Depreciation. Honestly, I can name very few cars that drive as good as the GT3, while subsequently holding their values as good as the GT3.

570 has been out awhile, and values are still holding very strong.

also- is 25k over MSRP normal? is MSRP realistic?

also debating on red vs GT silver exterior...

If i had to pay a $25,000 ADM I would just buy a low mileage 2014 458. It is not a .2 GT3 but it is a 458. Would be happy either way. My Wife wants me to get the 458. My problem is I do not like to stand out like that and would not like the attention
