Have yet to get an allocation. We'll decide when that happens.

^^^ I actually agree with you. My dealer took a .1 in trade for an incoming .2 and priced the MY 15 .1 w/5600 miles for approximately $15-$20K over original MSRP.

I realize that the price is an over-inflated price, but this speaks volumes. I'm sure they'll never get near that price, but it is an encouraging sign of the resale value of the .1 in my neck of the woods. I'll monitor this car to get a true sense of what I can get for my .1 when it's time to order a new GT.

The price delta btw the .1 and the new .2, including the outcome of the COG meeting, may very well justify the over ambitious pricing of the .1. We shall see...

Now we are getting OT but you can get a $166k MSRP for $153k and it has been sitting. That dealer will sit on it and they are not "maintaining" but declining.

I have my 14 GT3 for sale and have had a non-refundable deposit on the car for a couple of weeks before the guy comes to get the car this coming weekend. Haven't taken it down online as it isn't actually sold yet, obviously. After the COG results come to light, the amount of attention my car got shot through the roof. I have at least 4 other people who are wanting to pay cash for the price I have it listed at (which is aggressive and a good deal). I think it made a very sizable and immediate difference in the resale of the 14 GT3s in particular based on my anecdotal experience.

True, didn't consider that forced induction does not lose much hp vs na as altitude increases.

OP, there's more to the .2 than just more power. If you have a reliable .1 GT3 and you love it, there's no reason to lose a boat load of cash upgrading.

I'm waiting for the .2 to arrive in Dec. It doesn't make sense for me to buy a .1, dealers are still asking $159k for a clean example. .2 is the same price the way I configured, so it's a no brainer. I would be happy with either to be honest.

.1 GT3 would be cheaper on annual property tax and insurance for sure.

From my point of view:

For most of ul we drive our cars the way it should be driven, track it, rev it, hoon it. Now how many of us have the ability to squeeze its full potential? Maybe a couple but the vast majority wont, so when it came the opportunity to switch my .1 for a .2 i had already chose to wait for the next 99X because with this small tweaks we the drivers that cant squeeze its full potential will not notice whats new but we can say hey mines the new one and that makes me cool, just like switching from iphone 6s and 7, yes its better but what can you do better in the 7? Does it make you type better? Do you talk better? Has your ability to take pictures improved? I guess most of those wuestions will be no BUT I HAVE AN IPHONE 7 and for some it just comes to that.

Again for all who are upgrading their .1 for .2 congrats enjoy the car (manual) meanwhile ill be still driving the beautiful .1 brb....
