Default 991.1 GT3 Engine Warranty! 10 years / 120,000 miles

I love this company. They stand by their products. Looks like us 991.1 owners get a pen engine warranty out for 10 years / 120,000 miles.

Now how do we find out if we have the bad lifters??

Where have you been for the past few months?
Outer Mongolia? You learned about this in Road
& Track & not the sticky at the top of this forum?

R&T piece is misleading. It's not blanket warranty, it's only for that issue. That said the formal Porsche announcement is not yet out AFAIK. To your question though- easy- drive, baby, drive.

I have reached out to the author. I noticed the same thing.

I'm seeing lots of confusion online, Facebook groups, instagram etc about the nature of the 10year warranty. Most are assuming it's a full 10year powertrain warranty unfortunately...

I just spoke with Road and Track and clarified the things they had wrong.

Glad you set them straight. I was really upset when they left out that we all get new cars after 10 years or 120k, whichever comes first.

LOL

They also linked to the wrong thread! Hopefully that gets corrected quickly.

Main reason I bailed on my 991.1 was the engine. Good luck to those that own the .1 and I am pretty sure 99% of these cars will never reach 120K miles in 10 years.
