My money is on a 4.0 car with all the trimmings we're seeing on the 2RS: rear diffuser, Weissach Package, new front facia, the usual.

Which makes it somewhat short in USPs, unless there's a a better engine or manual option (both unlikely IMO).

In which case, and considering the expected short production run, this will make the level of desire for this car greater than 911R and GT2RS put together.

If it is just 600 cars ( as with the 997 4.0RS), there will be fighting in the streets.

^^

clearly no.
based on pre-order numbers on dealer level. will be min. GT2RS numbers. maybe/hopefully nearly .1GT3RS numbers if they pump out 90% firstly EU units till Aug.18. than the rest.
would be great if they learned from the .1GT3RS story.

what i think. because i do not know anybody who is not able to order a .2GT3 (for msrp).

but on the dealer xls pre order sheet i saw just around 150% of GT2RS slots... and i didn't managed it to place an order for the .2GT3RS...

not sure if you could get a RHD. but if you don't mind to buy from AT or GER let me know via PN.

for May.18 i declined a slot a couple of days ago asking for RS. i even was that unselectiv that i don't mind if 2 or 3.

Agree with all of this. Porsche could make one change of just putting a .2 RS sticker on it and people would line up to buy it.

Porsche won't reinvent the wheel for the RS, when they've already spent the R+D money on the new GT3 4.0L engine they can tweak for another 25 HP, and include the new diffuser and the weissach package option from the 2RS.

The only thing I would bet on with the .2RS is a base price tag approaching $200K and some initial dealer mark ups that will make the .1RS seem like a basement bargain.....

I think we'll see a base price of 195K, but the weissach will be considered a must have for future collectibility so average RS price out the door before ADM, will be high, likely 245K.
