Default Voodoo Blue or Golf Blue (W91) near NYC

Does anyone know of a car in either of these colors near NYC that I could see. Its so hard to tell the difference online. No, I do not have a confirmed PTS. I just know that if I get it they'll only give me like 6 minutes to decide.

Not many Golf's around - lots of Voodoos, but it might be tough to find a Golf.

I have seen Golf Blue (darker; has more black in it) multiple times in person... but I'm in South FL. Between the two, I'd go for Golf Blue in a nanosecond. Too many PTS Voodoos out there already and just like the Rivieras and Mexicos alike. Golf Blue otoh is very rare. I love Golf Blue's darker hue and it looks stunning especially in person... my subjective opinion.

I have heard there were only two (?) PTS Golf Blue 991.1 GT3RS ever made... for the US market at least.

I'm not 100% certain if that is correct but I do know they are very rare. So if there are more, then it's surely not double digits.

I know of only two. I was originally approved but couldn't make PTS work with ED.
Still a great color in the Florida sun.

I'd love to see some more photos. GMG posted a few.

I have a good chance of PTS on my 991.2 GT3 and Golf Blue is on my short list.

The interesting thing about this car is that the client ordered
"Gulf blue", but just a couple of weeks ago the SA was informed
that the car was painted "Golf blue". He is not sure of where along
the line was the mistake made. I don't know who the client is, nor
if he or she will do anything about this mistake, but I found it
curious that Golf blue was delivered without any lengthy feasibility
study (please correct me if I'm wrong, but my impression is that
"Golf blue" is not one of the pre-approved PTS colors, like Gulf,
Voodoo, Maritime, or Riviera)...

Carlos:

Actually 'Golf Blue', color code W91, is an approved PTS color.
So it didn't need any feasibility study to be done by the factory.

I concur with Consolidated that if there was a mistake made on
the color as 'delivered', it was done at the dealership level & not at
PAG. Dealers have to input both color name & color code. There is
little chance that PAG would confuse W91 with 328.

As was mentioned by DES GTS, the reverse happened to a customer
in Maryland back in early 2015. He ordered 'Golf Blue' & got instead
'Gulf Blue'.

I believe that was also dealer error, although they claimed (as does
Miami's 'The Collection' dealership now) it was not their fault.

Although I recognize that 'Gulf Blue' is a better known 'historic' 911
color with Porsche enthusiasts & a perennial favorite PTS color to the
present time, I am pretty impressed with how this 'Golf Blue' looks
on this 991 gt3 RS. I agree with others in this forum that have stated
that it might become a more requested color now that folks have had
a chance to see it on an actual Porsche model!

I was pretty clueless about the color 'Golf Blue' a year ago. But I had
to learn about it fast! It seems to have been a standard 911 & 912 color
from MY1966 to MY1968.

And now that I see it on this 991 gt3 RS, I must admit to all of you that I
am quite smitten by it! I hope the owner learns to love it...because I think
it actually makes his/her 991 gt3 RS stand out even more!

Thanks again Carlos for bringing this car in this interesting color to our
attention in this forum!

I've been pretty lucky to photograph a variety of PTS RS's and Golf Blue is still my personal favorite. RBS, voodoo is vividly blue while Golf has grey undertones.

Here's that thread on StuJelly's car.

The Miami car... Golf Blue again. I met the owner and took pics this past Feb at a Parkhaus event. He was originally selling it before the holidays but decided to keep it. I reaffirmed to him that if feasible, that car is a longterm keeper.... due to rarity and desirability. He agreed. Plus it's also quite stunning. The bright sunlight makes the color pop.

This is still my favorite PTS blue color....
