Default In-car video without reflections!

I finally found a circular polarizer for my Smartycam HD2 that eliminates the reflections in the windshield when taking video from inside the car.

I tried it out at Road Atlanta this weekend and couldn't be happier with the result. I believe the product was designed for a Canon point and shoot camera, but I measured the diameter of the Smartycam and it seemed like it would fit perfectly, and it did. Here is a video from the track. Let me know what you think.

Here is the link to purchase it at B&H photo.

Very nicely done! Video looks great. Is that an OBD port connection or a CAN connection you're using with the SmartyCam for overlay?

The connection is CAN. I found the OBD connection had so much latency that the shift points often didn't line up with the video.

What are you using for the gauge info on your video?

Nice video. However, not as nice as that one I saw of you leaving a certain white GT3 in your dust.

The gauges are one of the templates that come with the AIM Smartycam.

Looks awesome! As does that 1:34 - great job digging that out in the weird weather this weekend.

Other than your emergency pit stop, you were on my tail the hole time!

"Emergency pit stop?" That sounds much better than "Park and puke."

great video! Your car is freakin loud! Headers, side muffler delete and rear muffler delete? Did you mount the mic up near the exhaust? Sounded great by the way. Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed it.
