Default 19" Wheel spacing question

I just picked up my 987 Cayman S last night and love it, but I really like the lobster claws more than the wheels that came stock. Looking around, most of the lobster claws I can find for sale specify 911 (wider), would they fit on my Cayman S? And if so, with their off-set, how would the wheels sit?

Anyone with pictures would be great as well!

I would only consider in 987 fitment. The 911 rear fitment is usually 11 inch wide and really high offset. You'd need a huge spacer and 11 inches a a bit much for 987 I think.

I have a 2014 981 and have also been researching wheels.

From what I've found, the front wheels from a 911 would be manageable, but as olegd wrote, the rears are much wider. You'd need 30 mm spacers to get the same offset (to clear the brake calipers), and at that point, you'd have close to an inch and a half of tire hanging outside the wheel well.

Wish this weren't the case, cuz I've seem some nice 911 wheel sets for sale, and am looking for a winter set.

I have a set of 987 S wheels (with winter tires) listed in the classifieds.

Good choice. This car has the factory lobster claw wheels, and it came with 5mm spacers:
