Default Front brake ducts??

Had the Spyder up on the lift for the first time today and in looking at the front brake ducts I'm not sure how well they can work. There are flaps almost covering them- does the air flowing thru open them up at speed? They seem pretty stiff. Am I missing something??

That's not the brake duct.
It's the thing inboard and behind in the first photo.

Yeah I know the other thing directs air towards the brakes too, so what is that then??

Air deflector, to keep air off the front of the wheel and from going into the wheel well.

On the GT4, you remove that piece to increase front downforce a bit to match a high downforce setting on the rear wing. On the Spyder, leave it there because if you take it out, you'll have a tad more front downforce at higher speed but without the increased rear downforce to match.

Hmm. Actually, I think I'm wrong since the parts are not exactly the same. Here's the post on the GT4 front air baffle. It's different.

Sorry for the misinformation.
