Default Fabspeed GT450 package with stock PSE?

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the Fabspeed GT450 package. I really like the sound of the stock PSE exhaust and I would like to keep it. I realize that this would not really be a "GT450." What I'm trying to decide is whether I want the sport cats or the race cats. I'll pretty much be running on the street 95% of the time. I've been PMing with a few people who have done the sport headers and they seem to really like them. Part of me thinks that for the street they are a much better choice because they would develop slightly more torque in the lower rev range.

I have 5 years before my car needs an inspection and emissions test.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I literally just did exactly that. GT450 package with the PSE.

Having a little trouble with the car at the moment (throwing codes), but I will be able to give you a full review once I get that sorted out.

Also, I went with the sport cats as I wanted to be nice to the environment as well as hoping to get a little more mid-range.

Did you update the ECU for the TB with PIWIS? Or are your codes related to something else?

Here is the dilemma I'm having. I have it narrowed down to three options.

1. TB, Plenum, Tune, Race Headers with Stock Exhaust
2. TB, Plenum, Tune, Sport Headers with Fabspeed Valvetronic Exhaust
3. TB, Plenum, Tune, Race Headers with Fabspeed Valvetronic Exhaust

Sound wise, I think I'd be happiest with option 1.

Power wise I'd be happiest with option 3 - and if I find it too loud with the valves closed I could always go back to option 1.

Option 2 makes the most logical sense, but if I decide I want to revert to option 1 I'd have to buy the race headers and sell both the sport headers and the Valvetronic.

I just have no idea what option 3 sounds like on the road with the valves closed.

If you have the cobb package, what code are you throwing? I worked with Cobb and they were having an issue with the CEL suppression on the larger throttle body, and we fixed it. My Spyder has been trouble free since the new maps - did you update your Accessport when you got it? I don't know if Fabspeed is using custom or off the shelf maps, but it could be the same issue if they are using maps based on the older OTS maps.

I ultimately decided on doing the TB, plenum, filters, sport headers, exhaust and tune. I was told that Cobb was able to get into the throttle mapping area of the ECU. I am, however, going to be going back to the stock program before taking it in for services. Should I have the ECU updated with the PIWIS before doing the protune so when I go back to the stock ECU program it doesn't throw a code?

I finally got the issues resolved on mine (bad throttle body - stuck throttle plate) and it's now up and running like normal.

It's *awesome*. You're really going to love it. I'm curious how it sounds with the new exhaust as well, but it sounds phenomenal with the PSE. Extremely happy with this setup - worth every penny.

And Fabspeed has been phenomenal to work with!

Great news! Glad to hear you got it all sorted out.

I tend to think it will sound better with the PSE, but the performance gains are the trade off.

Glad you are up, running, and ripping around! I appreciate the kind words and look forward to working with you again soon

The factory PSE with upgraded headers is a phenomenal sound, but don't judge the sound of adding the Valvetronic Exhaust just yet haha. The increased burble/overrun is intoxicating to say the least, and the overall exhaust note makes you feel like you are behind the wheel of IMSA Cup Car ready to pounce , pure Porsche Motorsport
