It's metallic and I've been told has more green than Miami. I've not seen Miami in person yet though.

Looks great! If I recall correctly, Ipanema was a "special" color offered in late 997.2 production and I don't think many were ordered.
Rara Avis.

That's correct it was a rarely selected color for the 997.2! Much maligned here if you look back to the posts.

Looks like I get to pick it up tonight after all!!

Will post pics after stop staring at it

I'm chiming in a little late to this party, but really happy for you! It's so great that it's arriving as the weather there is turning nice so you can get some immediate enjoyment behind the wheel. Congrats!

A few from the dealer. The color changes so much with lighting

I knew it would look different in light. Looks really really nice. IMO it's a Jewel like color that I think will age well and it really shows the shape of the car well. Not to wax poetic but it's sort of a magical color... subtle yet also a statement of sorts. I also like that it's not atavistic like some of the other blues. Looks modern. Looks like a light blue in some pics and pale green in others. The silver wheels look awesome and give contrast. You could even do black wheels, but I think silver is more classic.

It's unreal how much it changes with the light.. In my garage right now it almost looks dark teal. Jewel like is exactly how I would describe it.
Yeah, I'm glad that I went silver on the wheels - also glad I didn't paint the roll hoops. I think it would have been too much with this color.

Had a guy in a M3 give me a big thumbs up on the way home from the dealer. All the sales guys were in looking the car over. Very very happy with the end result!

Until I got to the third page, I was thinking "can't decide if the color is super awesome or awful". The photos on the 3rd page are awesome. Love how the color tones shift with the nature of the light. Almost like lime gold. Looks mega cool.
