Arrived late last week. Saw it over at my dealer's pdi'd and detailed yesterday. Out of town, so not picking her up until next week.
Here are a few preview pics.
Unfortunately no interior pics yet. The interior came out better than I even dreamed though.
Black leather with silver stitching, leather shift console, brushed aluminum, gr seat belts, fire extinguisher, AND I got my dealer to throw in RED door pulls, clear side markers, and a set of rubber mats!
Dealer needed to book the deal in Feb, so that gave me some leverage. Apparently, it's been an abysmal month for Porsche sales... no wonder with the stock market gyrations. I was having second thoughts myself, but ultimately came to my senses.
More pics next week when I take possession.
Cheers!

Beautiful spec, congratulations! Can't go wrong with white, and I'm a big fan of the platinum satin wheels. Red accents will add just the right amount of color to the interior and also tie in nicely with the calipers...Be sure to share more photos once you take delivery!

picked up my spyder today.
omg. you guys were right. this is one special automobile! wasted no time putting the spyder thru its paces. easy drive (under 4k rpm!) up and down one of my favorite twisty test roads - redwood road from oakland to castro valley about 25 mile round trip. top down - 70 degrees and sunny.
wow. wow. wow. plenty of grip. sharp turn -in and rock solid. can't wait until i can rev above 4k.
way more fun to drive than my 991s at relatively sane speeds.. and way more civilized and refined than my s2000. i would consider the suspension to be extremely supple and comfortable going fast and slow. i did scrape the front end though going over a couple of road depressions, almost wish it were just a tad stiffer on compression.
loved the sound. very quiet when cruising without pse. great sound when accelerating with pse enabled. i'm not sure i'm that big a fan of the snap, crackle, pop on throttle lift... maybe because i know its artificial.
looks are awesome. got quite a few thumbs up from motorists and pedestrians alike. stopped for lunch and caught four brazilian and argentinian kids taking selfies and go-pro'ing the spyder while it was parked in front of the cafe... they were on their summer break working ski resorts in tahoe and down in sausalito for r&r.
my buddy took a few snapshots of me during delivery. he needs to learn how to up the resolution on his iphone!
too busy enjoying the sunshine and spyder to take interior pics. i'll take some quality pics tomorrow and post.
this has got to be one of the most satisfying cars i've ever owned. can wait to get to know her better over the coming days and weeks!

Very nice...
More pictures and test review please.
Funny when I used to drive the S2000 (15Y ago) I find it more refined and less raw than the DC2 Integra Type R or other equivalent JDM hero cars from the 90s.
Seems sports cars are becoming less raw even though performance is up...

here are some interior pics of my spydey.
the combination of brushed aluminum trim which is almost platinum in color with silver stitching, platinum wheels, the grey-backed leather "couches", and the smoked tailights, clear side markers, and headlights ties the interior and exterior together elegantly imo.
red fire extinguisher, seat belts, and soon-to-be-installed red door straps provide a pop of color inside. also functional as all "safety equipment" are RED.
the black leather gear shift console surround ties the console to the pcm and dash board.
i'm very happy with how the whole package came together. wish i was a good enough photographer show how all the elements tie togehter.

Looks great Taibo. Glad to see someone else so excited too. You are so lucky to have all those great roads and amazing landscapes. FYI, I went from liking the body colored roll bars to the standard black ones like yours. The black interior has also grown on me too.
