Default Mrs. Claus is quite a gal!

Gotta love Mrs. Claus putting the elves to work building car toys.

Found some Modulare B35 forged monoblocks under the tree this year. Not only do they look good, but they shaved roughly 5 lbs at each front corner and 4 lbs at each rear corner compared to the Sport Technos that were on the car. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for myself!

Pretty sweet looking rims! Love them! How are they in terms of quality and durability with respect to Forgeline, HRE, et al?

My research says that Modulare is right up there with both HRE and Forgeline, except Forgeline may make more for the track.

The machining and finish on these is as good as it gets. Two year warranty on the finish. Made in Merica!

They look great! Is the performance difference from the lost weight very noticeable or is it a more subtle change?

Have to get back to you on that. So far, I've driven the car from the tire installer to the house. Since then, we've been hunkered down with all the storms rolling through Dallas the last couple of days. Today, there is sleet on the ground, so the Cayman is nestled in the garage. So, not enough driving time on these wheels to date.

On the other hand, my previous Porsche was a 997.2. I noticed an immediate difference when I switched from a lighter weight 18" wheel to a heavier 19" wheel. The car was not as nimble and didn't feel as quick with the heavier wheels.

No worries - hope you've gotten through the storms ok

I appreciate hearing about your experience with your 997 wheels though - it's a helpful data point as I'm thinking about summer wheels for my car

Thought I would respond back to your question now that I've been on the wheels a bit. Couple of impressions. First, in day to day driving around town, the lighter weight is not really noticeable. At faster speeds the car seems a bit more quick on acceleration, and the suspension feels a bit more stiff. Car feels very planted.
