Cayman DME Dump Confirmation
Hoping to get a quick sanity check to make sure I'm interpreting this DME dump correctly. All the stage 2 numbers and above are 0 which I believe to mean no revs above redline but just wanted to confirm.
Thanks in advance,

Ranges 1-3 are considered safe, any car with sport chrono most likely has range 1 revs.

While the Bosch DME can have the rev counters reset, latest I've heard is the Siemens DME (9A1 '09+) rev counters cannot be reset with the current available software.
Some other changed information since then is the assumption of what's a safe RPM in a 9A1 vs. an M97.
Many of the software tunes now available for the 9A1 raise the revlimiter to ~7900 rpm (as has Porsche raised the stock limiter to 7800 on the 981s).
But since the counter levels are the same, with the new software limits, touching the limiter will give range 4 ignitions on pre-981 9A1s.
While that was assumed potentially damaging on an M97, it has been proven, over years in race conditions, to not be an issue on 9A1's.

Yes and no. If you look at the dates on the posts in the link, they are '09 and previous ie. the M97 engines and Bosch DMEs.
