987.1 Cayman Suspension Setup HELP!
Hi all! I am new to this forum and new in the whole HPDE thing.
I purchased a 2008 Cayman S this April and had since been to around 10-12 trackdays. Recently upgraded coilover to KW Clubsport and was wondering if anyone here has experience setting up the KW Clubsport for track use? (Rebound/Compression) ??
Current Mods:
1. KW Clubsport with standard springs
2. Hankook RS3 235/265. Running 34/36 PSI hot
3. Hawk DTC60 F&R, Castrol SRF
4. Corner balanced, around -1.5 front and -2.5 rear camber.
5. Everything else is stock. Car is Tiptronic S btw.
Home Track: Ridge Motorsport Park @ Shelton, Washington. Track surface is very smooth and current laptime is around 1:58.
Would appreciate some help from the expert!

Are you sure you didn't list those camber setting backwards? You didn't list lower control arms or camber plates, I'm surprised someone would upgrade to KWs without at least doing front adjustable LCAs, but that would explain the front setting.
I run -2.5 front and -2 rear and my tires are wearing nicely. I started in the middle with my JRZs and have increased a few clicks stiffer after 2 days on them. Best to start somewhere near the mid settings and experiment depending on how the car feels.

There is no magic setup for two way dampers. You have to try a setting and see how it works. I run MCS dampers and tend to use the softer end of the scale. Almost always I run more rebound than compression. I found page 5 of this guide helpful. https://fordperformanceracingparts.c..._FR500S_v1.pdf I also recommend Neil Roberts "Think Fast". It contains a great section on dampers.
