Default Spacer question

Has anyone run the P 5mm spacers on a GTS with the 20" Sport Technos?

Suncoast's website says they are not compatible, but I can't imagine why not.

I had a similar question and I seem to recall reading somewhere that it's due to the fact that the STs are already half an inch wider. But I'm curious to find out the reason as well, as I was considering adding spacers just to the rear in my CS.

Sent Suncoast an email with the question. It does not appear to be Suncoast's warning, but Porsche's.

Other forum searches indicate people are running them with no problems.

I suspect it may have something to do with keeping the wheel sufficiently inside the fender due to some regulatory requirement somewhere (for example, requirement that chains fit the car in some European places).

Suncoast merely says that since the Technos are the widest wheel offered for the car by Porsche, Porsche does not recommend the spacers.

Each wheel is 1/2 inch wider that "stock". However, the offset may also be different so clearances might not work with spacers.
