Default MPSC 2 question

I've long used MPSC and am happy with them.

The MPSC2 is now available. I have 18" stock wheels.

Tirerack only offers the tire in

235/40-18
245/40-18
295/30-18

I could get 235 (or 245?) for the front.

BUT -- and here's my question -- is there space for the 295 to fit in the rear?
(The stock size is 265)

On a 987.1 Cayman S I ran a Pirelli 285/645 Slick with no clearance issues. The recommended tire was a 305/645. I checked my fit with the 285 and thought I would need a 10 mm spacer for the 305 which had a cross section of 12.0".

What size wheels were you using?

I have been told that the issue is getting an 11" wheel to fit, which will not unless you go to a more compact coil-over setup. I haven't tried, because no one even MAKES an 11" wheel for the Cayman...

I have the stock 18" wheels. (9.5" rear?) Does anyone know the width of the rear wheel for 987.2? (I seem to recall 9.5")

Will 295 fit on these wheels? (I don't want to buy new wheels.)

TIA

Give the guys at Wheel Enhancements a call. They are very knowledgable about wheel and tire applications.

Regarding my post, I'm running OZ 8.5 x 18 x ET53 F and 10 x 18 x ET40 R. This is a very common 987 setup.

I know the Nitto NT01 fits a Cayman R with OZ wheels:

245/40ZR18
275/40ZR18

Not sure a 295 would work.
