Default Gearing/Final drive question

(I googled this question first and no post newer than 2 years old came up.)

Can you change the final drive in the Spyder with an aftermarket option? Does any aftermarket company make a lower one?

Pretty sure that Guard makes a shorter ring & pinion for 987.

Nope. We don't and we won't. We make gears for 3-6.

OP,
Take a look in the GT4 forum. There are a couple of threads that go into the gearing thing in detail. You have the same gearbox as a Cayman but with slightly revised ratios. Anything we manufacture for a Cayman will fit inside your Spyder gearbox.
