Hi guys,
I will be taking delivery of my 2011 boxster spyder pretty soon. I needs te be serviced and i prefer te have it done myself, not the seller who is a official porsche service center.
The car has been serviced by a porsche dealer once in 2013 and has 22.000 km ( 15.000 mls).
My choices are:
A dealership, some 40 kms out of town,
A porsche specialist (former dealer mechanics), just out of town;
A lesser know (newer business) specilist.
All have good reviews from other porsche enthousiasts.
What would you do and why?

Outside of an oil change the only thing you need to do is the spark plugs ( 4 years) I think whomever offers you the best price should do that as it's straight forward.

Unless your Spyder still has a warranty there's no point in bringing it to the dealer. I've found dealer service to be hit or miss, some dealers are excellent and others not so much. I try to do my own work and if it's too complicated I take mine to a local shop.

Actually i waved The warranty with the purchase of the car. As i understand it is possible to purchase warranty if Thè car is dealerserviced.
As The car is nearly New and there seem to be little issues with The 987.2 boxster i don't see the benefit of Any fom of warranty
