Hey guys,
I recently had the opportunity to put the Cayman GTS manual through its paces. I'm a current 997.1 GT3 owner.
Check out my video review below:
I absolutely adore this Cayman GTS and it's given me very high hopes for the upcoming GT4. The GTS is so light, so agile, so intuitive to drive. The chassis is so friendly and playful and loves to drift. Wow, what a car! I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir since I'm posting in the Cayman section, but given that the 911 has always over-shadowed the Cayman, it was a real treat for me to find out just how far they've come on the current 981 platform. Driving experience can be summed up in two words: world class.
Bold statement: Might actually consider giving up my 997.1 GT3 and getting into a Cayman GT4. I like this platform that much.
So what do you guys think of your 981 Cayman Ss and GTSs? Are you still loving it after months or years of ownership? Do you ever get 911-envy, think of moving up to 911 or are you perfectly content? Or do you also have a 911 of some sort to go alongside the Cayman in the garage?
Also, if you haven't seen it already here is my 991 GT3 Review:
And my owner's review of my 997 GT3:

Ok....fine..I like the GTS too ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I must say though that I do take mine to the track, and in sports plus, the body roll is very small and what ever suppleness may be had on the road in normal driving is barely perceptible in sport plus.
This is in no small part to the magnificently stiffer chassis than the previous 987.2.
Great review. Keep up the good work!

No 911 envy at all here. If I'd wanted a 911, I would have bought one. From my perspective with the Cayman GTS, a 911 wouldn't be a "move up", it would be choosing a different path. A very respectable and capable path, but it's not as if the 911 would be the natural progression after a Cayman GTS.

Sam, I really enjoy your videos, nicely done.
Can you recommend some good driving roads in the Vancouver BC area that are relatively accessible from Coquitlam? I live in LA but visit often and want to go on a nice drive with my cousin who lives there.

I currently have 2010 gt3 and 2015 cayman S
I've driven cayman as daily driver since I owned her
I totally agree with your oponion. Cayman S (I bet s and gts are barely different. plus mine has m&m exhaust so it makes better sound!! ) is a phenomenal vehicle.
longer you drive it, more you love it. thats exactly what happened to me in past 12months.
you might not hear the engine noise from your back by driving it few hours.
thats one of the greatest things of cayman. engine noise.
I love cayman. but I love my gt3 more..
they are just two different cars. but cayman is no replacement of gt3.
gt4 ?? well, I'd like to find that out!!! for sure gt4 would be another story..
