Default Durametric for 2005 Boxster

Hi All...

I've read up on the durametric cables for codes, service reminders, etc. All I am looking for is a simple way to reset service reminders. Not really interested in diagnosing codes, etc, as I will leave that to the dealer or mechanic.

I've looked at the Durametric Cable, Many seem to think you need the latest/greatest updates, ver 6.0 2nd gen cable, etc...about $300

My car is 10 years old and all I want to do is reset service indicators... I've seen some older cables with ver 3.0 that seem to indicate compatibility up to 2007 models...about $40-60

What are your thoughts on this.?
