Default i need to commit myself to an asylum...

its a long story, but the short of it is i bought a '07 boxster s mt last july - i fell so love with the car that months ago i bought a pretty loaded up '16 boxster gts [be here in august].

when i told you guys about it i thought i would get admonitions, criticisms and ridicule from most of you for all the boxes i checked - BUT NO! on the contrary; you all responded favorably and therein lies the reason i have lost my mind.

a week ago i was looking for a used car for my girlfriend. she had an '06 mb e350 that looked like it had been thru a tornado. i stopped in at a bmw store and found a kinda ok used 335 i thought she would enjoy. she stopped by and liked it but was that the end - NOOOOO.

i thought to myself, i should go over to Porsche as i am friendly with the guys there just to see if they have something better and couldn't find anything in my 30m price range - BUT THEN IT HAPPENED....

she saw a guards red '14 boxster pdk - i said to myself - OHHH NOOO;
she said - BUT ITS USED;
i said - NOT ENOUGH!
she said - BUT I LOVE IT!

WHAT COULD I DO????
we now have 2 boxsters

and of course a few of the guys i know there asked me,
is she your wife?
i said - NO, shes my girlfriend.
they asked - YOU'RE BUYING AN ALMOST NEW BOXSTER FOR YOU'RE GIRLFRIEND?
i said - NOT EXACTLY, SHE'S MY EX-WIFE?!
they asked with amazement - YOU'RE BUYING AN ALMOST NEW BOXSTER FOR YOU'RE EX-WIFE?!
with all the strength i had left i just said - YES.

so:
1. i am holding you guys accountable for this
2. please pm me for our address to make financial restitution

oh and by they way: she is my ex-wife and now my girlfriend and with your help you made her soooooooooooooo happy!!

BUT, SEE 1 & 2 ABOVE - CAUSE I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT - THANK YOU!!

anyway, its all fun and really she is so very happy with the car.

all the best,
miles

You need to find out where she's hiding the can of Ballz Off she's been spraying on you while you sleep, and throw it away.

Why not get a cayman GTS instead of the Boxster gts? Then you have a convertible and a coupe - two TOTALLY different cars haha

Mike - good idea for someone with a brain, but in my case i come from the days of british sports cars with rag tops and i had a few and lived in ny and nj and had limited seasonal use, but still preferred them.

since '89 i have lived in socal and now vegas and here i can ride opened top most of the year. besides in my case from long ago till now i have never said in the evening - "lets go for a ride" with a hard top or even a convertable with the top up.

i always preferred open tops and motorcycles so for me only a boxster. for her, she loves it now too.

Haha fair enough...my wife isn't a fan of open air driving, so between that and the ny weather, I dont get enough opportunities to put the top down. Plus I prefer the hard top for track events. But I have driven a 981 boxster and they're a lot of fun - enjoy them!

chris - please don't assume i had a lot to lose in the first place. i always knew i was not all there, and being old now the little sense i had is about gone

besides, at least you gave me 'agreement'!

did that 3 times - and a man's gotta know his limitations - marriage is mine!

now that i think about it i could have had a 918 coming in august instead of a boxster if i never got married in the first place. how do you think i even saved and scraped for the boxster gts due soon? - BY GETTING DIVORCED!!
