Default Cayman Triptronic

Hello all

This is my first post & I have a technical question. I have a customer with a Cayman Triptronic with chassis number, WPOZZZ98Z8U750966. The rear end, near the flywheel hole whines when the gas pedal is stepped on after warming up. Stops whining when the foot is off & doesn't whine when vehicle is cold.

The whining is distinct and definitely coming from the flywheel hole. The fan belt and pulley area where the bearings commonly wear is not contributing to this whining. The transmission has been separated from the engine and I am clueless if I should tear down the transmission or the engine end?

Any advise or help rendered is appreciated. Thank you.

On a diagnostic tool, it pulled C102, 8024, 8025, 8028, 8029, 802D, 8009, C152, 8023, P2187, P2189.

None of them are contributing to the whining.

It's Tiptronic, not Triptronic. No trip involved.

As for actual constructive suggestions regarding the problem, might it be a bearing noise you heard?
You might want to search the internet forums for mention of similar problems.
