Hey everyone I just picked up a cayman r. It's my first Porsche I like the car a lot so far. I think the car has a large amount of equipment. The original msrp was over $100k. It has a lot of leather and deviated red stitching throughout. What were average msrps on 12 cayman r's? The car is also equipped with carbon ceramics which I think is rare for a cayman in general.

Stellar! You found an awesome car and I love the red w/ black accents. I also have a PCCB R and all I can say is that the ceramics are insanely good and the car is just an all around blast to drive.
I just sent you a PM to inquirie how much you paid? I have a confirmed gt4 allocation so now it's just a matter of selling the current car, as sad as that seems. I'm in no hurry with my delivery in October but I don't want to end up posting mine next to 10 other Rs who may also be getting into the gt4. If you don't mind, please either let me know privately or right here and perhaps we can get input from other R owners (and Spyder!) that will help keep values high as possible. I would hate to ever see these special cars selling at a discount.
I am not advertising my car for sale yet but I'm hoping that a true enthusiast will be the winner when the time comes. I'll be listing it in the classified here on Rennlist before going the way of autotrader so I will hopefully find a buyer as passionate as I have been since day 1 with this car.

i paid 59k with 24k miles on it. Car is in good shape for mileage. normal stone chips and light wear and tear. She really is amazing tho. I traded a 14 audi s4 to get her. i hope the bottoms dont drop out of the R's. I bought it because i thought it will hold it value pretty decent if i care for her and dont run the miles up. Its strictly a sunday driver for me. I am a builder and i drive my truck all week long. If you cant afford a gt4 I think this is the next best thing. I was gonna lease a 981 car. But i really thought that would have been like pissing money away on a car i am only going to drive 3k to 5k miles per year. I was originally in the market for a cayman s sport. After last week losing three s sports (2 lime green cars and 1 orange car) and not being able to find anymore. I bit the bullet and ponied up the extra coin for an r. I wanted it for spring time and i didnt want to wait anymore. So i found this car at a porsche dealership up past hartford ct so I struck a deal on it. I was sick of being a day late dollar short from last week.

I was looking at this car and knew it wouldn't last long. It is by far the best value I have seen based on % off MSRP. Other dealers have R's with an MSRP of $74k and they are still asking $68k. Of course, they are sitting. This one sold in under a week.

Congrats. Very nicely optioned car with buckets and PCCBs. My advice: Don't worry too mcuh about prices bottoming out .. Value of a car is inversely proportionate to the fun quotient. I would not nearly be having as much fun with my 987.2 if I worried about door dings, shopping carts, rain, dents ... and future value. I speak with experience so take it for what its worth.
