Any advantages of changing standard oil filer to the LN Engineering Spin on adapter type on a 2009 Cayman S

My understanding of the benefit of the change from stock filter to spin-on is that the spin-on resists oil bypassing the filter upon engine startup better than the stock filter system.
I think this would benefit the engine whether it is an M97 (prior gen Caymans) or the new 9A1 that you have.
Maybe LN's website would have more info about this.
