I am wondering how the 19" versus 20" wheels effect the way Caymans drive? Any complaints like noise, comfort etc?

Depends whether you are talking about the 987 or 981.
On my '06 CS, the 19" are pretty stiff riding. I think 18" was stock size, but I've seen at least one with 17".
Can't comment on the 981 models.

I had 20" Teacarts on my CS and when I went with the Contact 3's the ride was actually better than the factory 19" Lobsters and Michelins. I found that after I had over 5k miles on them the ride began to grow worse, I found one more set of Contact 3's before they were discontinued and once again the ride became better. I do live in OC and the roads are fairly well maintained.
