Default 2005 987 I washer fluid leak?

Hi guys,

Assistance if you please. My 2005 Boxster S keeps on running out of washer fluid every month. I don't see any trail of fluid in the parking garage. I can only guess that there is some sort of leak in the system but it's very small. I use off the shelf washer fluid for like 3$. Nothing special.

My car is an old daily driver so I don't know if it's worth it to get it fixed or just pay for cheap washer fluid every month instead. Any advice?

One of your headlight washer pumps is probably leaking. Take the bumper off and check both pumps. The leaky one will have a bluish white crust. Replace with a new pump. They're not very expensive. The most difficult part is removing the bumper.

If its that slow of a leak, I would just fill it every month.

Ahh, that would actually make a whole lot of sense. I say this because as soon as I accidentally activated the headlight washers the washer fluid light came on.

Thanks, this very well might be the issue.
