Hello everyone, I've been lurking these forums for a long time, but now that I've worked up the courage to finally purchase a Porsche, I'd like your help to assist me in choosing one of two. My only concern is that there is not very much information regarding the cost of maintenance of these cars when they reach high mileage. I would obviously prefer the S version over the base, but the trade-off is high mileage. I am not so concerned with the $$$ aspect of this, but rather peace of mind. I don't want to be constantly in the shop replacing parts unless they are just basic wear-and-tear items. I am also not sure if I should go for the one with or without the user-replaceable IMS bearing. So, with that in mind, which of these two vehicles do you recommend?
Boxster S
Pros: Improved power, my preferred exterior color
Cons: high mileage, looks to have aftermarket wheels, failed emissions, 4 owners
This car has a replaceable IMS bearing.

Boxster Base
Pros: lower mileage, stock everything, 2 owners
Cons: Less power, black exterior
This car does NOT have a replaceable IMS bearing.
