Default PDK question

IS Porsche's PDK a different transmission than the DCT used on the parent VW cars? Trying to get some info to pass along to some other non Porsche forums.

Thanks

Yes.

Porsche buying the PDK's from ZF (Zahrradfabrik Friedrichshafen). ZF doing also gearboxes for BMW and Corvettes Z06 and a lot more. Dont worry, ZF is the best what you can get, better than worldclass quality.

ZF was founded to do all the gear mechanics for the Zeppelins. (Zeppelins vehicles flow over the Atlantic ocean in early 20th.) Believe me, this guys are still understanding what they are doing :-)
