Does anybody know what's involved in removing the "bumps" on each side of the rear license plate indentation on the rear bumper? I'm thinking/hoping that maybe we could simply remove them via bolt and fill a coupe of holes. Has anybody out there ever tried this or seen a wrecked rear end and knows how the "bumps" are attached? The initial 987 2005 Boxster brochure features pictures of the rear bumper smooth, uninterrupted by the bumps. The finish looks a lot better.
