2011 cayman s exhaust
Hi guys, I am new to this forum, been hanging out on the 997 page.
Just got a new cayman s, and I am breaking it in at Sebring this week at the 48 hours.
I was looking for feedback on the hot set up for exhaust (sound and power)
I have stock right now.
Strictly a track car, no street use
Is that capristo (sp) system any good??
Thanks.
Also just curious who are the cayman track junkies on here??
Thanks see ya soon.

You might go over to Planet 9 and due a search. Tons of info and sound recordings. For a track only car you can ditch the cats, get headers and a race exhaust. I use Tubi on my street/track Cayman S.

For power and sound, I think the best headers are the Fabspeed long tube catless headers. (Since you aren't worried about smog.) For a catback, there are lots of choices. Fabspeed makes a nice race system for the track that makes power and reduces weight. But, it comes down a little bit to sound preference. I have a Milltek catback on mine that makes great power; but it is a little on the quiet side. I had a Remus on mine before and while it sounded better, it didn't quite flow as much as the Milltek. Didn't feel as powerful. My next mod is to get the headers. Capristo is good but expensive. Borlas sound nice too.

stujelly,
Sounds like our Boxster/Cayman Race system would be perfect for you. Lightweight, great sound & great power. As we are constantly continuing R&D, this system makes more power than ever before.

Appreciate the feedback so far. I am here at Sebring for DM and the 48 and there is a ton of Caymans here. Checking around to see what most people run.

No wasn't at Sebring unfortunately. There is a guy who had his CI wrapped in Jager livery. It is another livery underneath. Saw him at Mid Ohio last year. Maybe him?
If you have the GT2 for street, then maybe sell the RS, but I'd sell the GT2 and keep the RS
