I might be buying an 08 cayman s 6 spd manual in yellow with
Heated Leather Sport Seats
Bose Sound Package
Sport Chrono no PCM
Sport Steering Wheel
19" Carrera Classic Wheels
Self-Dim Mirrors & Rain Sensor
Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package
Door Entry Grds
Automatic Climate Control
The car is eighty-thousand kms on it and is being sold by a Porsche dealer as a certified used car.
My questions to you experts are:
What would be a good price to pay for this?
What should I look out for on this car?
Anything else I need to know?
It does seem a little high. Just make sure you take your time and get what you want. I would go with ether an S or a base 09 or newer model. Keep us updated on what you find.
Sorry, I thought that is the forum I am in? I passed on the car today. They wanted 43500 and I felt that wa way too much
FYI: In the SF bay area and I suspect in other areas in early 2009 dealers were practically giving Caymans away.
I bought a new 08 in April of 09 for $50.6K marked down from $62.6K. And had I wanted to I could have bought a dozen at similar discounts. Or a new Cab or two or 6 for $30K off of sticker. Base Boxsters were under $40K.
Based on the above I'd have to say 43.5K for the car you were considering is way high.
