Default Need help selecting a LSD for my father in law's 2006 Cayman S

Hey all,

I'm looking to get a LSD for my father in law's 2006 cayman s for christmans this year. I dont know if it makes a differance but the car is a 6 speed and a very early model year (he had the first cayman in FL) currently it is equipped with an open diff from the factory. My first impulse was get a Quaife and be done with it... But, I figured I would ask to be sure. What is the best unit for this model?

Thanks for the help.

For street use the Quaife TBD should be fine. For track use, I'd go with a Guard LSD because of great stability under braking. The Guard is about twice the money.

Guard LSD is pretty much the best. I agree that Quaife or other TBDs are fine for the street.

I went with the Guard, too - a little more money, but its reputation is outstanding.
