Mineral spirits or paint thinner works great on the paint but will remove the wax. On my old clear bra it also worked well. As mentioned before, there are differences between various brands of clear bra. Nothing works well on my current bra including Plexus. Plexus didn't work well on the old bra for rubber. Don't try Goof Off.

Mothers R3 works insanely well on paint - I found it did not work nearly as well on clear bra.

And yes, it definitely strips wax.

A bud here on RL has had good results with TurtleWax Bug & Tar remover.

I have been using ArmorAll cleaning wipes.
It does a good job if you get at them fresh.

i use caranuba wax (I have one grand blitzwax)... works on clear bra and paint and no harsh chemical. Once a while I may use Mother's cleaner wax if one grand doesn't work.

This stuff works extremely well.

I spent some time with it the other day removing tire marks off my white car using a microfiber towel.

Appears to be a synergistic blend of surfactants and solvents that remove the rubber. Has some lubricity as well.

Removed bug jerky easily too.

Mild enough not to harm paint or my Premier Clear Bra if you soak for up to 2 min. Far superior to spendy Premier orange liquid.

Also had some positive effect on removal of brake dust particles embedded in my painted rims. That's another project though.

Regards,

Josh

I use 3M adhesive remover. Make sure you do not get any on the seams or it will lift the clear plastic.
