We are shooting for 2550 lbs but I think that the additional aero, air jacks, fuel cell, driver aids etc., will put us closer to 2600lbs.

I am hoping to post a clip of it internally combusting but we're uncertain as to whether or not a trip back to the dealership is required to flash the Gateway with the PIWIS. The Gateway from the 987.2 donor harness went missing in the trip across the U.S.

The X51/GTS 997.2 motor was a bit tall with some additional brackets not located on the 997.2 manifold.

We lowered the motor about .5" and everything seems to be behaving. Sit tight...fingers crossed.

So freaking awesome...

I propose that from now on anyone doing a 3.8 in a Cayman designate the car a Cayman GX instead of a Cayman GT.

I 2nd that. At the end of the day, no matter how many GT3 Cup or RSR parts we bolt to our Cayman, the GT3 Metzger snobs will never accept her. So, screw it. It's a GX Cayman.

When the sequential is in later this year, then it will be more appropriate. Til then though, while our DFI engine and engine management aren't Grand X-Perminetal, the idea of running a street car in a 24 hour race IS because it's been 10 years since anyone has done anything like that.

Over.
